These abilities make us the dominant player in the professional industries around the world.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of the P&C Team. The Vice President will function as an integral part of a seasoned team of peer Vice Presidents assisting the Senior Vice President of the P&C Team.The primary responsibility is the retention of existing business and the development of the account relationship.In addition, the Vice President will be assigned specific responsibilities for new business development, managing relationships with designated P&C carriers and specific projects related to the administration of the P&C Team.Senior brokers and account representatives will support and be direct reports to the Vice President. The Vice President will be responsible for the professional development of these direct reports and will supervise them as a Unit Leader and will delegate assigned clients and work functions to them to achieve client retention and income growth goals.RESONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
Be responsible for account retention
Maintain effective and productive relationships with clients and develop the commercial relationship
Manage insurance carrier relationships and the marketing process of insurance submissions.
Create insurance submissions and identify and analyze risk exposures and coverage need of clients
Assist in the development of new business from existing clients as well as prospects.
Develop junior staffSPECIAL SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and collegially with senior client contacts, underwriters and junior staff.
Superior demonstrated organizational, project management, presentation, and client relation skills.
Experience in mentoring and training of direct reportsMINIMUM EDUCATION:
College Degree
P&C Brokers license (this is not mandatory, however, all new employees will need to pass their State brokers license exam within six months of hiring date)
Professional designations a plus e.g. ARMMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Eight or more years of insurance brokerage experience.
Expertise in the content of property and casualty insurance contracts and premium rating methods for Property, Business Income, General Liability, Commercial Auto, Workers Compensation and Umbrella
