Reports to:Job Summary:
A Vice President of Operations directs, coordinates and manages day-to-day operations and activities of a high volume automotive product manufacturing facility, in addition to meeting all requirements of our customers and ensuring compliance with all Kautex and Textron policies and procedures. Activities include; managing continuous improvement in product, processes and procedures affecting manufacturing, direct oversight of key departments and programs for such areas as Environmental/Safety and Health, Quality Assurance, Operations, Engineering, and Human Resources. Plans, assists with and supports the development of strategic operating plan for the manufacturing facility including development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) to ensure customer satisfaction, plant profitability and overall performance to objectives. Also functions as a strategic business partner with responsibility for maintaining all safety and environmental laws and regulations, human resources development and all other Kautex/Textron policies procedures and compliance directives and laws applicable to the facility.Responsibilities to Include:
Coaches, direct reports and motivates assigned workforce to meet all required safety, environmental, quality, operating procedures, and delivery objectives.
Coordinates and monitors training of key management and other personnel to ensure they are trained with qualifications profile and that which is included in Individual Developmental Plan.
Performance to financial and operational objectives.
Assists with planning, implementing and oversight of all programs, processes and procedures and site activities that influence environmental safety & health, quality operations, engineering, human resources. This includes supporting management systems TS16949 and ISO 14001.
Understanding of compliance handbook and actively support the development and communication of all compliance activity.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Management or related field.Position Requirements:
5-10 years experience managing a high volume manufacturing facility (preferably automotive).
1-2 years experience in a multi-national manufacturing setting.
Process equipment and knowledge (Kautex-Blow Mold, CWC-gray/ductal iron casting).
Understanding of inventory and material management processes.
Knowledge and utilization of statistical tools (e.g. Six Sigma, SPC).
Green Belt Training.
Working knowledge of MS Office especially Outlook, Excel and Word.License and Certification Requirements:
