PROVENA SENIOR SERVICES, Mokena, Illinois, provides skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living communities , adult day care, and child day care services in Illinois and Indiana.

Position: Vice President, Mission Services

Job Summary: Responsible for the Cultural Integration of Mission, Spiritual Care, Education, Community and Ministry Advocacy, Clinical and Organizational Ethics, and Ministerial Leadership Development.

Qualifications: Graduate degree in Pastoral Studies, Theology, Ethics, or related field. Three or more years experience in the field of health care mission and administration with an advanced understanding of the tradition and mission of Catholic health care. Three or more years experience working with senior management and clinicians. Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook are desirable.

Job Functions: Serves as a member of the senior management team of Provena Senior Services and Provena Health Mission Service Council. Participates in Provena Senior Services Board of Directors meetings and the Mission Integration Committee of the Board of Directors. Provides educational and spiritual growth opportunities for employees, volunteers, board members, and trustees. Provides orientation to the Catholic Ministry for new Provena Senior Services Board members. Coordinates the implementation of the Catholic Ministry Identity Plan. Participates in the identification, selection, orientation, disciplinary action and evaluation of pastoral care ministers. Serves as a resource for chaplains and administrators. Updates chaplain manual annually. Provides in-services as requested. Coordinates commissioning service for new administrators. Serves as a liaison to Bishops and Provena Health for Provena Senior Services. Informs Bishop and his representatives on ethical issues. Coordinates Community Outreach program and provides quarterly reports to Provena Health and to Provena Senior Services. Coordinates the Continuing Education Units (CEU) program.
