Vice President, Marketing

Basic Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for the development of on-brand marketing materials and creative images that are consistent with the market position of the Lane Bryant brand. The VP-Marketing will implement the key strategic direction of the business as a member of the Executive Committee and will direct the in-house creative marketing department toward the execution of point-of-sale, promotional, packaging and labeling materials. Will also be responsible for extending the brand using public relations, and directing outside agencies in the development and execution of PR and media strategies.


Specific Responsibilities:

- Develop marketing plans in conjunction with Lane Bryant President / CEO and President of Brand & Creative Services.
- Direct the implementation of strategic marketing plans to drive growth in key business categories.
- Integrate marketing into the product development cycle of the brand process disciplines.
- Direct internal development of all creative projects.
- Direct development and execution of PR strategies and plans for the business.
- Translate the Lane Bryant brand into imagery through photoshoots, mailers, fashion guides, etc.
- Develop point-of-sale marketing to support floorset launches, point-of-sale clearance and sale campaigns and garment marketing.
- Create collateral to support merchandising / marketing test programs.
- Develop strategy and recommends programs to grow the direct marketing function and achieve top line and transaction growth.
- Direct development and execution of PR strategies and plan for the business.
- Recruit and develop an effective marketing team.
- Manage an annual creative Marketing budget and provide quality results at efficient costs.Job Requirements
Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in related area required; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years professional experience in marketing, creative advertising and brand image development and an understanding of the US retail market.
- Experience in fashion advertising for the Lane Bryant customer.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a member of senior management team.
- Track record of successful creative brand image development.
