This role is responsible for leading consolidated and other management reporting for the Finance group of ING Investment Management Americas. Duties include coordinating and reviewing management reporting for all major business lines of the investment management organization, interfacing with finance and business colleagues in ING Investment Management, ING Insurance Americas, and ING Group. Major accountabilities include:1. Oversee and guide department staff in the development of numerous key financial reports, to include management basis earnings, assets under management, sales & cash flow, variance to plan/forecast analysis, commission reporting and other ongoing ad-hoc requests.2. Manage a team of finance professionals to enable the timely and accurate delivery of management information and analysis.3. Create and maintain an environment that can rapidly respond to on-going and ah-hoc requests for information.4. Maintain proper controls, documentation and reconciliations to the financial accounting systems.5. Monitor effectiveness of existing databases, tools and processes to ensure best use of resources with maximum speed and efficiency.6. Key contributor to the development of ING Investment Management’s business and financial plan.7. Develop management presentation materials.8. Establish and maintain internal and external relationships with other reporting units in ING Investment Management, ING Americas and ING globally.9. Develop and maintain knowledge of ING Investment Management business practices and products.10. Respond to and coordinate internal and external audit inquiries.What else can we tell you?

REQUIREMENTS
Who is our ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business. Other requirements include: At least 5 years of previous accounting or Finance experience required, preferably in a related field and similar role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to effectively motivate and manage employees in a fast-paced, constantly changing business environment. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of Peoplesoft General Ledger and Hyperion planning products strongly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects from inception to ultimate completion. Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Willingness to travel domestically and abroad on occasion.
