Our insurance and investment products are backed by a promise that is as strong and secure today as it was when we started our business in 1923.Reporting to the Chief Business Services Officer and supported by a team of professionals, the leader of Learning & Performance is responsible for the strategic direction of employee and executive training and development including the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate professional development and continuous learning.Assess organizational development needs to design, implement, manage and evaluate learning and performance strategies and processes
Design and execute key programmatic elements of the learning & performance processes including goals to measure effectiveness
Evaluate strategies and programs to measure the achievement of established goals
Assist managers with the design and strategy for learning in their organizations
Manage the individual development planning process for executives and emerging leaders
Prepare and manage budget and provide for effective management of resources.
Coach and develop team membersTo be considered further, candidates will possess the following skills, experience and education:Master’s degree in Organizational Development/Organizational Behavior, Ph.D. preferred. Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Six to 10 years of directly related experience with proven success in leading a corporate training organization.
A passion for transforming an organization through learning and the ability to influence the direction of organizational competency development
Business acumen and the understanding of how training connects to the success of the business
Excellent change management and communications skills
Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Outstanding presentation ability
In depth knowledge of state-of-the-art organizational development tools, theories, best practices and techniques
