Vice President, Human Resources and Training
This position is based in Pensacola, FL. Excellent relocation package available.
This position is responsible for developing policy and directing and coordinating Human Resource and Training initiatives such as recruitment and retention, compensation, labor relations, benefits, professional development and employee relations at multiple sites while simultaneously demonstrating strategic thinking and leadership skills.
1. Develops policies and practices and making recommendations to executive leadership for acceptance and use throughout the organization.
2. Implements and manages appropriate internal controls and compliance for the HR function, including Sarbanes Oxley, Affirmative Action and other process-oriented requirements.
3. Oversees staffing strategies, implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the corporation for positions of responsibility.
4. Manages the HR and Training staff to include recruitment, evaluation, development and terminations.
5. Analyzes wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan and prepares personnel forecast to project employment needs.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate will have:
• Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
• PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of employment law, HR practices and benefit and compensation design strategies.
• Analytical ability, strong communication skills and a team leadership philosophy.
• Proven track record of successful implementation of strategic employment initiatives.
• Experience in HRIS preferred: familiarity with ADP payroll/HR systems is an advantage.
