The VP of Technical Operations ensures our technical staff executes and delivers an exceptional customer experience by ensuring a well-executed service delivery process is in place. The VP partners with our Divisional and Area teams to drive efficiencies through the business and ensures our network and infrastructure supports a seamless delivery of our products and services to our customers.
Develop and implement best in class processes and procedures resulting in the organization's ability to improve technical metrics and exceed goals and objectives, while improving the customer experience.
Partner with Area, Regional and Divisional leadership teams to develop strategic plans to ensure the technical workforce is constantly engaged in learning and development to further enhance their ability to stay ahead of the competition and skilled in our technology.
Monitor technical performance of Region to comply with all FCC, FAA, CLI and other Comcast technical requirements.
Ensure that Regional service, governmental and franchise demands are met effectively and efficiently through organizing, planning, scheduling and dispatching of staff and equipment.
Ensure Regional and Area competence and continuity of qualified staff through optimum selection, development, and appraisal, resulting in a highly motivated workforce.
Partner with other departments including but not limited to marketing, engineering, safety, training, and customer service to insure successful product roll-out and integration.
Serves as a focal point regarding impact of deploying new products and services on technical operations including installation process, customer service integration, training, performance evaluation and budget. Ensure systems and system staffs are able to respond to the demands of new technology deployment and maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of new technology.
Function as chief technical resource to Regional Vice President and Divisional VP of Tech Ops to assist in Technical planning and decision-making.
Ensure that industry standards are consistently met and that technical operations comply with Area, Region and Division OSHA safety programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred and/or equivalent experience.
10+ years experience working in a senior technical operations position in the cable telecommunications industry.
In-depth understanding of FCC requirements and Proof of Performance Standards.
Thorough knowledge of transmission, networking and transport technologies.
Ability to effectively lead an organization through large scale change, implementing best in class processes to bring the organization to the next level.
Excellent communication, leadership, and development skills.
Strong planning, analytical, financial, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Individual must be highly collaborative and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
