VP of Institutional Effectiveness

This leadership position will oversee the University’s institutional effectiveness initiatives and institutional research programs/activities; support educational planning and assessment; and ensure achievement of its mission and strategic goals. Additional responsibilities include; supporting the strategic planning process, accreditation requirements and coordination of institutional measures / assessment activities; establishing standards for quality assurance / practices and service excellence; and creation of an innovation process for University improvement.
Specific duties include:

•Coordinate / implement / manage planning and evaluation of all aspects of the University to support its mission and accomplish its strategic goals.

•Provide consultation to develop goals and assessment activities; develop a system to evaluate and measure the University’s progress; oversee and support quality Institutional Research and analysis activities to ensure compliance.

•Keep abreast of current trends, issues, technologies and processes; seek out ways to change or improve the quality of programs and services as well as the strategic planning and evaluation process.

•Develop an innovation process that solicits and incorporates employee ideas relative to university improvement.

•Provide accurate information to the management team; motivate the University community to achieve a high performance environment; establish certain standards of service excellence.

•Establish measures of excellence in academic and nonacademic departments; analyze/measure results and monitor progress
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree, 7-10 years related experience in quality practices such as AQIP and/or Baldrige. Additionally, should have experience in at least one or more of the following areas; academic assessment, institutional research, design and analysis, all in higher education. Must have strong quantitative research skills, excellent written / verbal communication and presentation skills, thorough understanding of quality techniques and practices, computer proficiency.
