VP and CIO

Establishes and directs the strategic short and long term goals, policies and procedures for SIGMA’s information technology department. Determines a division's long-term systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish the business objectives. Responsible for all information technology spending and budget management. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to President.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred experience/behavior.
•Requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 20 years of experience in a service environment. Marketing experience is a plus. 5+ years in a management role.
•3+ years working in Database Administration desirable.
•Experience with database application development using Visual Basic, Java, .Net, Web Programming, Crystal Reports, MS Office
•Experience with information management technologies, such as Operational Data Stores (ODS), data warehouse, data mining, data replication and data integration in large organizations.
•Knowledge and experience of structured analysis, design, programming and problem solving techniques.
•Prior experience in development of MIS/online/transaction processing systems, knowledge of client/server, architecture and LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity.
Must have Skills.
•The ability to analyze large and complicated data sets demonstrated through previous professional assignments, including experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
•A thorough understanding of and the ability to design database schema comprising large table sets is essential.
•Excellent documentation skills.
•Ability to successfully communicate, both verbally and in writing.
•ORACLE and/or SQL Server RDBMS experience.
•Visual Basic, ASP, MS Office, Crystal Reports.
•Object-Oriented programming.
•Web Programming experience.
•Logical/Physical design capabilities.
•Windows NT/UNIX knowledge.
Nice to have skills.
•C/C++, SAS or SPSS.
•Presentation skills training.
