Position Summary

 

Overall management of the Credit Card Marketing organization supporting the credit card portfolio of a leading national retailer. Responsible for marketing strategy, execution, and analysis in order to achieve program goals.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Including Direct Reports

 

        Interface with retail partner's senior marketing management to formulate marketing strategies and coordinate marketing initiatives.

        Develop programs that drive incremental sales through significant increases in card member usage and retention.

        Identify and implement strategic and tactical initiatives that provide a sustainable competitive advantage in the market place.

        Develop strategies for new card products, benefits and usage.

         Develop strong analytic and results evaluation tools.

         Identify new marketing channels to drive retailer & credit sales. 

         Develop and execute strategies to maximize Point of Sale account acquisitions, as well as acquisitions through additional channels.

         Develop and deliver marketing information management capabilities.

         Lead, coach and develop a high performing team of marketing professionals.

         Develop and execute cardholder marketing programs thorough the following channels: retail outlets, direct mail, statements and internet for commercial and consumer customers.

         Manage external advertising agencies and vendors.

         Ensure creation and fulfillment of all program forms and ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.

         Create and manage Credit Marketing budget. Analyze all program results in order  to maximize return on investment. Manage implementation of plans and measure effectiveness of promotional efforts.

         Develop and maintain a process for gathering intelligence on marketplace competition.

 

 
REQUIREMENTS


Education and/or Experience

 

         Bachelor’s degree, MBA desirable.

         10+ years in a Senior Marketing role.

         Strong direct marketing experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities

 

         Previous leadership track record in credit card marketing, planning and analysis, product development and financials.

         Track record of executing marketing projects/programs.

         Strong analytical skills.

         Demonstrated ability to think strategically and be detail-oriented.

         Strong people leadership skills.

         Strong communication and presentation skills.

         Ability to work with partner teams.

         Effective advertising agency and budget management ability.
