POSITION DESCRIPTION:Our client, headquartered in Israel, is currently revolutionizing the world of wireless communication infrastructure by offering coverage over extended areas and ranges. Their solution provides wireless Internet services in Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) deployments, utilizing the IEEE 802.11b standard over license-free 2.4GHz and low power (under 100 milliwatt) antennas. Cities, campuses, office parks and other enterprises can now enjoy anything, anytime, anywhere triple-play service, including video, VoIP and data over wireless networks, with an extended range from meters to kilometers, from yards to miles.
Having established an impressive record of growth overseas, they are now ready to enter the American market, and have engaged our services to find a creative and accomplished Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Principal accountabilities for this position include:

1.Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures in coordination with HQ objectives and strategy.
2.Achieve sustained and growing revenue and profitability targets in the USA.
3.Position the company as a leader in the MAN wireless internet technology and solution market space. Plan and coordinate public affairs and communications efforts.
4.Establish and continue to grow the company’s market, customer and installed base.
5.Direct and oversee the company’s marketing function to identify and develop target markets, existing and new customers.
6.Establish sales channels, e.g., distributors, reps, system integrators and others.
7.Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets.
8.Directly manage major and critical accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
Our client will set up an office in the hometown of the successful applicant. While the actual location is open, there is a preference for locations near a major airport. Atlanta, Florida, and California are first choices.

EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline

SALARY RANGE:Very competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:

•at least 10 years experience in the sales and marketing of wireless telecom equipment;
•at least 5 years experience managing a sales and/or marketing team;
•in-depth knowledge of the US Wi-Fi/Broadband marketplace and its distribution channels;
•the ability to travel to Israel from time to time.
