Vice President, National UW Manager
Countrywide’s Correspondent Lending Division (CLD) provides prime, nonconforming and expanded prior underwriting services to correspondent Sellers within CLD program and quality guidelines, and within expected turn-time and customer service levels.
The Vice President, National UW Manager manages the underwriting team responsible for prior underwriting prime, nonconforming and expanded loan programs for the entire division. The position will be responsible for ensuring the team is properly staffed with qualified and trained underwriters to provide prior approval credit decisions within CLD program and quality guidelines, and within expected turn-time and customer service levels.

Miscellaneous Duties
A successful candidate will have:

4-year college degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent management and leadership skills.

Excellent oral and written communications skills' including technical writing ability.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Working knowledge of Gems and CLOUT.

Knowledge of other departments within the company and their effect on CLD operations.

Demonstrated ability to identify and implement creative business solutions.

Be extremely sensitive to Seller related service issues.

5 to 8 years managerial executive experience in mortgage banking.

5 years prime underwriting experience.

Previous multi-state experience helpful.
