VP Medicare Sales & Marketing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President, Medicare Sales and Marketing, serves as the senior sales and marketing executive of AMERIGROUP’s Senior Services Organization (SSO). This position is accountable for the direction and management of all sales and marketing activities for AMERIGROUP Corporation’s Medicare products. The VP directs the development of sales plans, strategies, policies and procedures that help achieve the objectives of the operating unit and the company. This individual oversees Medicare-related activities in field sales offices, inside sales and marketing service functions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Develops annual marketing and sales plans that prioritize market areas and integrate Medicare membership goals based on growth and profitability opportunities.
•Participates in development of the SSO long term strategic business plan from the perspective of Medicare sales and marketing.
•Creates detailed sales plans that define strategies for specific segments of target market with associated advertising, staffing, budgets, distribution channels, enrollment goals and conversion rates.
•Monitors sales and marketing performance and effectiveness along dimensions such as staff productivity, close ratios, response rates, cost-per-lead, member acquisition cost and other sales cycle metrics.
•Develops, refines and supports the SSO’s Medicare sales and marketing structure in terms of management responsibilities for sales, service and customer retention, as well as new customer sales and distribution channel and development.
•Manages development and updates of Medicare sales job descriptions, performance standards and compensation plan to maintain market parity.
•Manages Medicare marketing and sales process to ensure optimal use of resources.
•Provides support, supervision, training and administration of marketing and sales staff at corporate level and in local health plans.
•Maintains and manages outside sales consulting and vendor relationships that impact Medicare business.
•Supports and participates in new product development, including description of market needs, business case/feasibility analysis, product concept proposals, growth strategies and detailed product specifications.
•Provides direction and support to Marketing and other corporate departments to create lead generation, marketing and sales materials, as well as the launch strategy and marketing communications plan.
•Create and manage project plans and development budgets for multiple initiatives.
•Other activities and projects as assigned.
