VP-Marketing and Communications
Lead the development and execution of Marketing and Communications strategy to support business growth for retail asset management business. Responsibilities include brand development initiatives, communications strategy and messaging to key audiences including integration into AMP corporate initiatives, public relations and advertising strategy, and channel penetration marketing strategy for AMP and outside distribution.Lead the development and execution of marketing programs with corresponding metrics and measurement to support channel penetration. Responsibilities include development of advisor segmentation model to drive marketing activity such as execution of comprehensive events strategy, access programs to investment personnel, RiverSource Institute content management and delivery, oversight of relationship management duties for outside sub-advised relationships, and firm-specific marketing initiatives to support channel penetration in outside distribution.Lead the development of all communications initiatives including collateral system management, presentation development and support, shareholder reports and prospectus delivery, agency management, editorial, content, and design management.Lead sales support initiatives including wholesaler and national accounts support. Act as primary liaison to these selling groups and through a collaborative approach, develop sales tools, sales ideas, value-add selling programs, distributor support initiatives to promote RiverSource asset management products and capabilities.This position plays a key role in the expansion of marketing and distribution for the asset management business. It is responsible for strategic development of marketing initiatives to support outside distribution as well as those within Ameriprise including the integration into corporate-wide initiatives.This position will interact with many stakeholders across the organization including executive management, investment management staff, insurance leadership, legal, finance, and sales leadership. It will also have external accountability to outside subadvisory relationships. It requires the ability to align priorities with each of these stakeholders and provide the necessary influencing to achieve business objectives.This position provides leadership to a broad range of staff and requires a flexible and accountable leadership approach. Objectives will be met by strong leadership that reinforces priorities and encourages staff to collaborate.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have 10 years experience in a Marketing or Communications role in the Asset Management BusinessMust have a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed organizationProven Leadership experience is requiredCollege degree required; advanced degree preferredSeries 7 required; must have or successful completion of Series 24 within 6 months of hire.Enjoy many advantages such as competitive benefits to eligible employees (including medical, dental, and vision plans).
