VP Marketing
Fast paced, high growth organization is seeking a senior level marketing executive with a track record of success in a Fortune 500 environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in four areas:Strategic direct marketing planning
Financial planning and budgeting.
Marketing communications both on-line (email, paid search, affiliate, etc.) and off-line (catalog, direct mail, etc.) marketing programs.
Database marketing - customer segmentation, modeling and analytics.POSITION OVERVIEW:The VP Marketing will serve as the senior marketing officer. The executive will work closely with the companies Chief Marketing Officer and the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) on a wide range of initiatives.
The executive will be responsible for optimizing a multi-million dollar annual marketing budget and achieving key financial metrics.
The executive will manage a team of 50+ professionals responsible for a portfolio of on-line and off-line marketing communications programs. The executive will be responsible for achieving customer targets through a combination of customer retention, reactivation and acquisition programs. The executive will be responsible for working with the companies database marketing team to grow the active customer file and implement a customer segmentation scheme appropriate for the direct channel.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop annual direct marketing plan to support corporate, retail and direct channel initiatives. Help develop and launch multi-channel campaigns.
Develop comprehensive annual / quarterly marketing communications plans for both the off-line and on-line areas.
Optimize controllable marketing spend, while achieving all key financial targets.
Oversee development of weekly traffic (retail store visits, call center sales calls and web-site visits) forecasts. Develop contingency marketing plans when traffic volumes are below plan.
Oversee development and implementation of quarterly marketing test plan.
Partner with the database marketing team to help drive a customer centric view of the business.
Develop strong internal and external partnerships.
Develop and monitor marketing departmental budgets.
Attract, retain and develop direct marketing personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:Seasoned senior level direct marketing executive with 15+ years of retail experience in a Fortune 500 organization.Strong strategic orientation. Must be capable of creating a vision and executing the detailed plans.
Broad breadth of direct marketing experience, encompassing all relevant disciplines.
Results oriented self-starter with a passion for the direct business.
High level of integrity.
Exceptional analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Team player capable of building a world-class direct marketing team.
B.S./B.A. in Business Administration or Economics.
MBA or equivalent preferred.
