TITLE: VP Marketing
SALARY: $200k+
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This senior executive level position is responsible for leading the Marketing Team of 30 professionals in partnership with Product Management, Sales Training, and the company’s cross-segment executives in order to drive the overall business results.
This position will lead the development of strategic plans to drive top line membership growth and retention.
Strategic Planning, Opportunity Management, Impact Analysis Market Research ("Voice of the Customer" on needs, satisfaction, product concept testing, etc.)
Competitor Assessment (Analysis; tracking; recommendations on pricing, positioning, alliances, etc.)
Segment Marketing ("What to Do" - segment plans, revenue/share goals
Positioning strategy, priority programs/tactics, distribution channel liaison, performance assessment; metrics, etc.)
Continue to refine segments and sub-segments to enhance performance.
Channel Strategy (Acquisition cost analysis; channel approaches; compensation strategy, etc.)
Pricing Strategy (Competitive price assessment; price/value analysis; trend analysis, etc.)
Marketing Communications ("How To Do It" - tactical program support; agency management for sales collateral, direct marketing, advertising, web design, public relations, etc.)
Budget and People Management
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in business or related discipline, Masters of Business preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of strategic marketing experience
10+ years of complex project management
5+ years of people and budget management experience.
Marketing experience in a B-to-C environment required
Ability to work well within a matrixed environment.
Solid understanding of operations, sales and product development.
Ability to influence and partner with these teams.
ADDITIONAL COMPETENCIES:
Skilled in strategic planning.
Proven results in gaining competitive advantage through marketing disciplines.
Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
