VP-MARKETING

The VP Marketing is the Company’s senior marketing executive leading the development and delivery of breakthrough channel and business unit focused marketing strategies. In addition, the VP is charged with further developing the Company’s brand building competencies globally across the organization and establishing a close connection to the markets and channels served.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop the Company’s overall Corporate Brand strategy in line with the corporate goals, designed to increase and drive all elements of the business plan.
Lead the development of the company-wide brand and category development strategy. Work with the business leadership teams to execute strategy and guide allocation of resources.Work closely with the commercial teams to understand their specific marketing needs, help prioritize and allocate marketing resources to deliver corporate goals. Ensure marketing plans employ an integrated practioner/consumer focus.Gain senior management and peer alignment on all major initiatives.Strengthen and maintain a goal oriented, entrepreneurial environment that stresses employee performance, accountability, teamwork, management credibility and success. Cultivate a high-performance team through process, coaching and feedback. Instill a quantitative, fact-based discipline across the team.Oversee company-wide advertising and promotion strategy and execution. Lead a disciplined process for innovation, executional excellence and accountability.Provide strategic planning and management of marketing, public relations, and competitive intelligence and RFP functions.
Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on positioning, branding, internal communications, crisis communications.
Serve as Company media contact for products and services related inquiries and outreaches.
Develop concepts and editorial approach, contribute to and edit all external newsletters, marketing collaterals.
Serve as senior liaison with sales to support department needs including strategic marketing direction, tools, collaterals, etc.Communicate in a professional manner with broad array of Senior Management, Sales, all company departments, as well as with external audiences as a representative of the Company to build reputation and thought leadership.As directed, prepare speeches and presentation for senior executives. Interface with industry and third party associations on behalf of Company to increase Company visibility and build thought leadership.Lead, Manage and provide support to marketing and RFP teams. Leadership via influence to the R&D function, ensuring strategic consistency between marketing initiatives and plan priorities. Lead new product development strategy to ensure market needs are met. Manage the performance tracking process to monitor progress against the brand and category strategic objectives. Provide a focused strategy framework for R&D which will drive faster development of new products.Conduct rigorous overall business, consumer and competitor analysis. Lead the consumer market research function, ensuring that plans assist the development and effective promotion of the company brand equity. Leverage customer and consumer insights to drive innovation. Lead the analysis process and ensure decisions are reached promptly relating to the allocation of media resources, client specific spending or new product initiatives.Provide strong leadership in the selection, development, coaching, and retention of marketing staff to build world-class marketing capability.
PROBLEM SOLVING/DECISION MAKING
This position report to the President and COO and is a key top management team member in the development of marketing strategy and long-range strategic planning. The incumbent must assess situations and conditions requiring conceptual, analytical and interpretive thinking and converting these assessments into quantifiable strategic plans.This position operates within broad executive guidelines and corporate objectives to develop strategic marketing and business unit focused marketing strategies.ACCOUNTABILITY/DIMENSIONS/SCOPE
This position will provide the strategic marketing direction and implements best practices to drive untapped growth potential. The incumbent will galvanize the Company’s various marketing resources to both build and leverage Company brand equities among customers while driving revenue across Company Divisions.
The Vice President of Marketing is the chief marketing executive for the corporation. Working with the CEO and COO, This executive will develop and implement marketing strategies to allow for synergistic growth of all the disease management and related businesses.
TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL, AND HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLSThis position requires the educational equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree plus 10- 15 years of progressive Marketing experience preferably in the healthcare industry. MBA, preferred. Previous experience in high-growth or developing brands with a history of cultivating meaningful solutions. The incumbent must possess strong interpersonal skills to manage activities and communicate strategies and developments to Senior Management for approval and to management for implementation. This position requires a high degree of conceptual thinking and quantitative analyses. The position must address industry issues before the full impact is known and formulate plans to properly position the company based on this analysis. The ability to integrate strategies with management is a critical skill requirement of this position.The incumbent must possess exceptional leadership skills, vision, and excellent communication skills. The incumbent is required to monitor the bottom lines and have the creativity necessary to recognize the need and create new products/sales opportunities for the organization. Charisma, drive, analytical ability, creativity and sound business judgment are required traits and skills for successful performance in this position.Broad marketing skills are required; proven success in building consumer/client based brand equities by marketing a full complement of marketing functions, including market research, advertising, public relations, promotions, etc.
Professional Qualifications
We are looking for a Minimum of 15 to 20 years experience as a sales and marketing executive and experience managing the sales and marketing activities of a $250+ Million company.
A Proven successful track record of achievement in growing top line results in a services-oriented business such as a pharmacy benefit management, diagnostic services, and laboratory services of disease management.Position SpecificationA strong strategic and analytical approach and thorough understanding of sales, sales planning, market planning and sales and marketing execution, along with the ability to successfully build a top-notch sales and marketing team.
Excellent overall business acumen with the ability to visualize what is required to allow the company to reach its next level of success and then translate this vision into a meaningful and implement able strategic plan.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and presence with the ability to quickly obtain the necessary credibility within the Company to lead the marketing function. A broad-based business person with a complete understanding of the P& L.
A high energy, creative, flexible, results-oriented leader who can provide effective leadership to the Marketing team.
An excellent manager capable of developing and motivation his/her skilled professional staff.
