VP, Insurance Administration

Responsibilities and Duties:

Analyzes and documents existing business and information systems environments.

Conducts needs assessment with the business and translates them into system requirements.

Assists with technical projects and serves as liaison between IT Product and business community. Functions as a liaison between the business and technical communities to effectively translate business strategies into requirements.

Works with the business/user community in gathering comprehensive business requirements.

Coordinates activities on behalf of the business unit and facilitates communication between investment, operations and tech resources.

Troubleshoots existing financial reporting problems.

Tests and implements new versions of software.

Develops training manuals and performs new user testing.

Helps lead projects - run workshops, write the work flows, process flows, assists with functional specs, documentation, getting sign off from managers, working closely with the people involved to track progress.

Prepares user acceptance test scripts and the execution of test plans, inclusive of new system development and existing software upgrades. Assist with user testing of systems, developing and maintaining quality procedures, and ensuring that appropriate documentation is in place

Supports vendor evaluation and selection process and coordinates small project teams.

Effectively and proactively reports project status to senior management.

Works as a leader to integrate various aspects of the project team.

Works with client to clearly define scope.

Devise new policies and procedures for global reporting group.

Familiarity with technology and business use of technology is a necessity to provide direction for business process and product enhancements. (This person needs to understand business issues and have previous experience in delivering results consistently and efficiently.)Skills Required

Bachelor's Degree; Minimum of three years experience in the project space.

Exposure to project management methodology.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills, proving efficiency in ability to multi-task, with attention to detail.

Display vision, initiative and practical application.

Have a strong customer focus and be results driven.

Proven ability to interact across multiple levels of the business.

Ability to work autonomously.

Ability to develop time line for successful completion, delivering on time and within budget.

Strong leadership skills.

Strong team building skills.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

General understanding of current technologies.Skills Desired
