This position has senior level consulting and operational level of responsibility. May also be responsible for managing a small to medium size business unit with account management responsibility for medium to large size clients. May also serve as a practice or team leader for a medium sized office or line of service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Primary responsibilities of this position to include: Growth and maintenance of Aon Consulting’s business as the primary consultant or project manager for medium to large sized clients that may include large, multi-service clients. Also, to serve as the account manager for small to medium sized clients. Specifically, will have responsibility to serve as the lead manager for six to eight clients (middle-sized with strategic mix); and 3 to 5(+) clients whom have at least 2-3 lines of business. H&W practice or team leader responsibilities in a medium to large office and may serve on national practice council. Possess a thorough understanding of the H&W practice, as well as a thorough understanding of what drives the client’s business. Possess a level of H&W expertise (and related lines of service) that is recognized by colleagues regionally and clients and possesses the ability to become a lead instructor in a specific area of expertise. Specific areas of expertise needed for this position include but are not limited to (the following items will need to be tailored to specific position; could include such things as): Benefit Plan Design, Funding Arrangements and Renewal Negotiations, Managed Consumer-Driven Plans, Underwriting & Financial Analysis of Employee Benefit Programs, Elective Benefit Programs. Encourages and cultivates enhanced business opportunities with existing and potential clients by positioning oneself with high level client managers so as to have the opportunity to translate Aon’s products/services into new business opportunities. Will also possess the ability to represent Aon’s capabilities (products and services) so as to differentiate Aon from competitors. Proactively pursues additional business opportunities both within existing client base as well as with new clients. Expected 10%-20% annual growth in total book of business in client/new revenue. Ability to develop a strategic plan for a client and to work with and establish relationship with the senior level executives within the client organization. Actively works to develop and cultivate additional business opportunities both within existing client accounts and with new clients. Serve as lead consultant for all phases of a moderate to large-scale project. Manage and delegate work to others, establish priorities for both individuals and teams. Establish clear performance expectations/performance plans for the team and the team members so as to ensure a high quality of service to client as well as to ensure that all team members are meeting expectations. In addition should provide mentoring to more junior level account managers/consultants. Assumes financial responsibility for client work through the oversight and management of client billing and service issues as well as possesses a thorough understanding of the Aon accounting systems and tools. Ability to assess the quality and level of services being provided on the scheduled basis and to thereby ensure the client is receives the full value of the Aon staff used to provide services.
