VP, Global Machining

Headquartered in San Jose, California, Sanmina-SCI is a leading EMS provider focused on delivering complete end-to-end manufacturing capabilities and highly complex solutions to technology companies around the world.



The VP and GM of our machining division will have total responsibility for Sanmina’s global machining operation. This business consists of operations that fall directly under the VP’s responsibility such as the sites in Livermore and Newark, California and those that are under the daily operational management of Geographic Operational leaders such as Austin, TX and Suzhou, China where this individual has ownership for business growth and customer interface but not directly responsible for day to day manufacturing.











The GM’s responsibility includes the following:





Directing all activities of plants required to meet the objectives of the business from the standpoint of manufacturing, engineering, quality and material management as well as safety and environmental.





Direct interface with existing customers to understand and meet their total requirements. Complete responsibility to manage all resources to address customer needs.





Responsible to identify new accounts and manage the Sales team to grow the business commensurate with company objectives.





Participate, as a leader, in establishing annual budgets and long term plans in alignment with Company’s growth objectives. Define the capital expenditure requirements and strategy in support of these plans.





Coordinate and lead the establishment of quarterly budgets and plans in support of division’s annual budget.





Total ownership of P&L with direct responsibility to improve all financial metrics.





Requirements


Bachelors as a minimum in a technical or business field. Preferred technical background will have to be at least ten years of direct experience in machining industry working for a large global company. Responsible for $50 million business. Skills to include in depth P&L understanding and complete knowledge of machining process and technology.
