Practice Director & Senior Vice President: Field Service, Customer Management and Retail Research Teams


AberdeenGroup is the leading fact-based Research firm, is looking for a proven executive to aggressively grow the #1 Fact-based Research Team in the market. This position is a member of the extended Management Team and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer
Responsibilities:
Candidates must have proven leadership and business development experience at building high growth practices. Experience within thriving team based sales, research, analysis and writing environments is expected. Candidates will be responsible for end to end research, sales and business development across a dedicated research practice.
Candidates will be evaluated on their commitment to the value of research and proven passion for building a business.

Responsibilities include:
•Direct P&L responsibility for all Field Service, Customer Management and Retail Research teams
•Direct a team of research analysts, research associates and sales executives across all Field Service, Customer Management and Retail teams
•Direct a dedicated Business & Technology Research Agenda and Vendor Coverage area that spans all Field Service, Customer Management & Retail issues
•Direct all sales and business development activities across 200+ technology vendor relationships
•Develop and implement a comprehensive high-growth go to market plan for the practice
•Build an end user research community of interest to support an ongoing research agenda

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
7+ years of directly related experience in building high growth technology or research businesses. Specific hands-on experience as a practice/business leader within marketing/sales related roles for a technology, research or consulting firm is highly preferred.

Domain knowledge in most/all of the following areas is required:
•Field Service, CRM and Retail applications and enabling technology
•Application and Technology firm go-to-market strategies
•Product and Services specific vertical market issues
