DESCRIPTION:

Our client has offices around the globe, including Boston, San Francisco, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney. Global office growth has created multiple new demands on existing technology solutions ? new functionality, application performance, information availability, delivery methods, etc. A new position has been created to assist in addressing these challenges with participation at all stages, from strategic planning through delivery of tactical solutions. The following describes that position:

The Investment Administration (IA) Systems team seeks a Lead Systems Analyst who will assist in delivering Global Office Information Availability. The individual will:
- Define the Global Offices requirements for information availability and delivery
- Identify and recommend appropriate tactical and strategic solutions for timely Global Office information delivery and related processes
- Manage the implementation of those solutions.

The individual will work with a cross-functional team in addressing their responsibilities, with direct management responsibility for some. Effective relationship management with IS peers and business partners is critical to success, and effective communication throughout the organization. The Lead Systems Analyst will have project management responsibility throughout the systems development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional specifications, development, systems and integration testing, and implementation. 2. Domain Knowledge: Investment Management experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 10 years minimum work experience in a financial services technology environment
- Thorough understanding of the Investment Management business process, with technology experience in front, middle or back office
- Strong project management, application and process management expertise
- Strong team leadership and mentoring skills. Management of an IS team within a matrix organization is essential, including management of consultants and employees.
- Strong client relationship, communication and analytical skills
- Strong planning and budgeting experience
- Highly self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Vendor relationship management experience required; experience working with technology/process outsourcing partners is desirable
- Strong systems development methodology experience. Iterative methodology (RUP) and/or UML knowledge a plus.
- Bachelor?s degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline
