Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the product strategy for Roxio’s line of data backup and protection products built around the Backup MyPC brand. You will work with a talented product development team to define innovative, yet easy to use backup and system protection capabilities for consumer software products.

You will be responsible for the product throughout the execution cycle, including: gathering product requirements, defining product vision, and working closely with engineering and product design to implement and refine products. Responsibilities include:
-Setting product strategy and roadmap for backup and system protection stand alone products (Backup MyPC) and integrated features of Roxio’s flagship product (Easy Media Creator)
-Creating PRDs including feature prioritization based on customer input (OEM and end user) and competitive market conditions
-Working with third parties to negotiate and license 3rd party technology
Defining and shaping business strategy for products in a competitive market segment
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in product management in a consumer software company with specific domain experience in the backup and data protection categories. This position requires the ability to work with a cross-functional, globally-distributed team. Candidates should have solid organizational skills and experience working closely with engineering and product design teams in a distributed, fast-paced and often rapidly changing environment. The ideal candidate must have exceptional written, oral and presentation communications skills in addition to:
-Software Product Management experience
-Strong leadership skills
-Track record of delivering market leading products
-Ability to work with distributed teams located around the world, often requiring schedule flexibility.
-Background or relevant experience with consumer software in data backup, system restore or recovery
-Demonstrated experience in communicating product requirements into a compelling product vision
-Experience working with press and media on product launch tours
-Ability to travel
-BS in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field); MBA preferred. Familiarity with Mandarin an asset but not required.
