Practice Administrator

The Borgess Ambulatory Care Division (BACD) of Borgess Health is seeking a Practice Administrator. This position, reporting directly to the Director of Physician Practices, will be responsible for the efficient and cost effective functioning of all the Family Practice and Internal Medicine physician practices of the BACD.


Will assist the Director of Physician Practices with the establishment of strategic and operational goals, objectives, and marketing for the practices. Also assists with the preparation and implementation of the practices’ operating budget and monitors spending against the budget. Will work closely with the Director to ensure appropriate staffing levels are in place to support patient care needs and clinic functions at all times.


The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage the day-to-day operations of clinical and non-clinical operations including overseeing hiring, work assignments/scheduling, staff and management engagement and evaluations.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required, with a Master’s preferred. Minimum five years of progressively responsible management experience including at least three years in a medical office setting required. Facilities management experience desirable. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of practice management, personnel management and reimbursement issues. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills to provide effective leadership and mentor management staff. Financial and analytical skills are also necessary for budget purposes and to resolve complex administrative problems encountered in the operation of clinical services.
