Pharmacy Director
Providence St. Peter Hospital is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy to lead our Pharmacy Services in Olympia, Washington.
The Director will oversee the Pharmacy department to provide quality patient care services in our 390-bed tertiary medical center. The Director will provide strategic direction for medication use in the hospital, establishes policies and procedures in collaboration with other clinical leaders, and is assisted by 4 managers who oversee the key operational areas of the pharmacy service.
Department Highlights
24/7 pharmacy operations
Clinical services include: Dosing protocols with prescriptive authority (aminoglycoside and vancomycin), automatic therapeutic interchange (for drugs approved by Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee), black box warning program, renal monitoring program, IV to PO conversion program and drug information (e.g., action, dosing, interactions, adverse effects).
Clinical services provided by all pharmacists on staff.
Decentralized clinical pharmacists in Critical Care, Surgery, Oncology and Cardiology.
OR/Critical Care Satellite decentralized pharmacy with specialized pharmaceutical services provided.
A motivated workforce of 38 FTEs with low turnover rate.
McKesson MedDirect order imaging system for order communication, and Horizon MedsManager pharmacy system.
Pyxis Medstations with Profile are used as the primary distribution system
A USP797 compliant clean room for IV admixture preparation.

REQUIREMENTS
Required qualifications include current Washington State pharmacist license (or eligible), Doctor of Pharmacy degree or pertinent advanced degree, and three years experience as a pharmacy director or assistant director in a health care setting.
Salary based on experience.
