Lead Java Developer

Successful candidate will work with the technical architect to bring concepts to delivery. They will be responsible for leading development teams, assigning tasks to take advantage of the strengths of each individual team member. They will also be working both with functional and technical design documents, ensuring standards and procedures are in place for the project. They will also be expected to “roll up their sleeves” and help develop and deliver code if necessary. Other tasks in the role include: • Work with senior client decision-makers throughout the development lifecycle to deliver enterprise solutions. • Travel to client sites to work with stakeholders to assess as-is and to-be systems. • Propose & design solutions to meet customer needs. • Work with analysts and development team to ensure requirements are focused on fluid customer requirements. • Communicate with stakeholders within team and client on a regular basis to ensure expectations are set and exceeded.
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior role on teams building enterprise web-based solutions. • Excellent understanding of overall web system architecture, Java (both open source and J2EE compliant systems), web services, system integration & component based development • Experience with modeling, OOA & D, RAD methodologies and other system architecture techniques and tools • Experience in a client-facing role with exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and organizational abilities.
