32-40 hours per week 8-5 WITH NO CALL!!!!!!!!. Salary is 23.00-28.00/HR. Our ideal candidate will have both ultrasound and mammography experience and be ARRT in Radiology and mammography and at least board eligible for ultrasound. At least some of supervisory experience. This person will report to the Site Manager, but play a large role in running the day to day operations of the department of our Breast Imaging Center. We provide film mammography, both stereotactic and ultrasound guided breast biopsies, breast ultrasound, and dexa scan services to our patients. Duties include oversight of all aspects of the department including: the QC program, American College of Radiology and MQSA yearly audit, employee evaluations, overseeing ordering supplies and scheduling. Must have ARRT and CRT in mammography, valid CPR card and current CEUs in mammography. Approximately 75% of time will be spent performing direct patient care. This challenging position requires a candidate with a dedicated work ethic, effective communication skills and proficient knowledge of mainstream business computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. REQUIREMENTS
Position Summary:Under direction of the Site Manager this employee performs a variety of medical duties of a routine and recurring nature, to include but not limited to patient relations, patient care (including patient safety evaluation) and imaging specific duties. Imaging specific duties include quality control/assurance testing and scanning. Individuals assigned to this position will normally perform the duties independently and according to established company procedures and practices. Job requirements include compliance with Ohio Department of Health credentialing regulations and educational or work experience in standard Mammography practices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Duties and responsibilities include the following, yet other duties may be assigned.Safety Responsibilities•Be familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures pertaining to radiation safety and OSHA
•Executes timely completion of incident reporting when accidents or adverse events occur
Patient Care•Be familiar with and provide services within the parameters established for mammography facilities by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)
•Be familiar with and adhere to all company policies pertaining to HIPAA and deliver services in a manner that ensures patient privacy•Be familiar with and adhere to all imaging center policies and procedures governing patient care and general practices in the center •Educates the patient and family about the procedure being performed•Cares for the special needs of the patient within the accepted scope of practice for a mammography technologist
•Assists the attending physician during special procedures such as breast biopsy or needle localization•Maintains a sterile and safe environment and consistently demonstrates knowledge of infection control procedures
•Provides services that are appropriate to the patient’s age and medical conditionTechnical Quality and Productivity•Produces images of consistently good quality within the parameters and protocols established by ProScan Reading Services and those required by the American College of Radiology’s Mammography Accreditation program
•Performs required quality assurance testing on the imaging and film processing equipment and submit as required to corporate personnel or other agencies•Properly and accurately identifies pertinent information on the films•Maintains productivity that is commensurate with training, experience and number of hours worked when compared with peers working under similar conditions on similar equipmentProfessional Development
•Remains in good standing with the ARRT or other professional organizations by actively tracking and obtaining required continuing education credits and adhering to ethical standards•Provides copies of current ARRT and state licensure cards (if applicable) to the Site Manager and Human Resources Manager within thirty days after a new card is issued or sooner upon request
•Maintains certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association and provides copies of current card to the Site Manager and Human Resources within thirty days after a new card is issues or sooner upon requestCustomer Service•Be familiar with and adheres to all standards set by ProScan Imaging for customer service
•Actively considers the comfort and safety of every patient or visitor to ProScan Imaging
•Promptly reports customer complaints to the Site Manager
•Offers every patient the opportunity to complete a satisfaction survey and return that survey to ProScan Imaging corporate staff in a confidential manner
Additional Requirements of the Position:Experience and/or Education:•High school education or equivalent
•ARRT licensure as an x-ray technologist or other required state licensure (if applicable)•ARRT registry in mammography or equivalent work experience in mammography (mammography registry required within twelve months of employment)Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
