Investigator, Senior This position investigates internal and external events that may result, or have resulted, in financial loss, in addition to documenting results and providing recommendations for corrective action(s). Emphasis will be on recovering corporate funds whenever possible and ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and regulatory authority requirements for reporting such acts. Key functions will also include interviewing employees, customers, vendors and other affiliated parties to gather supporting evidence; identifying suspects and methods of operation; obtaining and documenting confessions; arranging polygraph examinations; and participating in prosecution efforts. Other duties will include assisting in training Corporation personnel relative to fraudulent schemes and the prevention of losses, along with providing assistance to Corporation personnel on procedure and legal requirements for the collection of fraud-related losses. The Investigator will also be relied on to evaluate cases for patterns and trends; determine failures in policies, procedures and internal controls; and recommend changes for risk mitigation, where appropriate.Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

BS/BA degree in Business, Finance or related field a plus.

3+ years experience in financial crimes investigations, law enforcement, and legal and/or internal auditing.

Mortgage banking and loan review experience preferred.

Underwriting, law enforcement or investigations experience a plus.

Strong verbal/written communication skills including the ability to effectively apply interrogation techniques.

Excellent PC skills, including a high-level knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes).

Detail oriented, organized and able to multitask.
