General Manager (11310)

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:


This positions overall objective is to manage the day-to-day operations of a region. This position will work with the Sr. VP to solve organizational and operational problems/issues and formulate strategic competitive initiatives.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for working with the Sr. Vice President to develop and execute a business plan, annual budget and revenue forecasts for the region.
Responsible for managing to the business plan of the region including revenue, capital expenditures, operating expenses, and other critical success factors.
Responsible for coordinating and supporting strategy formulation for new business initiatives, including technology analysis, financial modeling, market analysis, organizational impact, and entry strategy.
Responsible for coordinating region resources during any "change" initiatives adopted by the region.
Responsible for tracking/analyzing the regions competitive position, and formulating possible courses of action that are in line with long-term competitive advantages and the divisions goals.
Responsible for coordinating budget and expense budgets for initiatives which you have control with the region budgeting and planning group.
Responsible for managing and developing direct reports from the operation.
Special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


Bachelors degree is required, but MBA is preferred (emphasis on Management and Strategic Planning is desired).
A minimum of eight (8) to nine (9) years experience in operations, management, and/or strategic planning.
Demonstrate technical competence through experience/and or technical degree.
Proficient in use of computer with previous work experience in analysis and strategy planning.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively and make presentations, both verbally and in writing.
High level of energy, enthusiasm, creativity and commitment is beneficial.

Excellent analytical skills, good judgment, and a strong operational focus are required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Primarily works inside. May sit for long periods of time. Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, push and pull. Must be able to type and read on a computer, communicate in person, on telephone and in writing. Must have a valid Florida drivers license and a good driving record.
