Executive Director

Executive Director of ETSU College of Nursing Community Health Centers (a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network in East Tennessee). Full-time position contingent upon grant funding. Nurse-managed clinical sites in the FQHC network provide healthcare for elementary and high school students and community members in rural Hancock County and for the uninsured, underinsured, homeless and other underserved groups in Johnson City. The Community Health Center network is a partnership between the Community Governing Board and the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) College of Nursing. The Executive Director (ED) is selected by and reports to the Board and is the liaison with the Dean, College of Nursing. The ED provides leadership and overall direction and administration of the community health centers, applies the policies of the Board and relevant ETSU policies and procedures, and assists the Board in developing and evaluating goals of the organization. The successful candidate must demonstrate the commitment and/or ability to follow sound business practices in budget and personnel management; work effectively with the Board and the Dean; ensure community awareness of and support for the centers; manage programs; develop grants and secure fiscal support; and support the college’s education, research, and practice missions. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Required: Minimum of a MS/MA degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or nursing administration; executive level management experience in community or public health care; and grants management experience. Preferred: Experience in an academic setting is helpful.
