Director of Risk Management
Position Profile
•The Director of Risk Management is responsible for directing the Risk Management/Patient Safety Program, including clinical risk management, claims management, program administration and risk management education for the health system.
•This individual will participate in the management and support of professional liability litigation, and will act as an administrative liaison representing the Health System.
•Supervises approximately four Risk management specialists, and reports to the general counsel
•Qualified candidates will be bachelor’s prepared, have a risk management or patient safety certification or equivalent, as well as a minimum of five years experience in risk and healthcare management
•Ideal candidates will have strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, good time management and computer skills, be able to work independently and build relationships, have successful public-speaking abilities, and a broad knowledge and familiarity with health-related regulatory and accreditation requirements
