Director, Search Product Marketing

Performics, the performance-based marketing division of DoubleClick, is the leading provider of online marketing services and technologies for search, affiliate, and data feed marketing. We are currently seeking a talented Director of Search Product Marketing. The Director of Search Product Marketing is responsible for creating content and delivering external messages to key influencers in the online advertising industry, including the media, industry analysts, Web publishers and advertisers (current clients and prospects). The Director will work closely with the senior management to develop content for all aspects of Performics’ marketing communications.

Responsibilities include:Develop written materials including white papers, executive presentations and byline articles.
Manage thought leadership initiatives including media placement and executive speaking engagements.
Analyze and develop content based on proprietary data and trends.
Plan and implement communication programs to extend Performics’ external visibility.
Develop and manage issue-based communications programs.
Respond to requests for information from the media and analysts and coordinate with spokespeople/internal sources.
Direct all outbound media relations and manage press release distribution (and potentially a public relations agency relationship).
Stay abreast of industry trends and positioning the Affiliate and Search Engine Marketing arenas.
Provide ideas and generate content for all areas of company communications (blogs, newsletters, press releases, white papers, presentations and bylines).
Conduct research and analyze and disseminate relevant information/findings to keep marketing and management apprised of marketplace dynamics and trends.
Stay abreast of the features and marketing strategies of the company’s primary competitors and provide competitive analysis reports as necessary.
Facilitate on-going dialogue across the organization to ensure we are capitalizing on the right opportunities.
Manage internal support resources supporting product development.
REQUIREMENTS


Qualified candidates will have:Undergraduate degree in business, communications, or other related field; MBA preferred.
7-10 years experience in marketing, marketing research or product development.
Demonstrated proficiency in both verbal and written communications. • 2-3 years management experience.
High competency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Medium competency in MS Access.
Self-motivated, flexible, resourceful, thoughtful and strategic.
Able to work in a team setting.
Experience with Internet-based products or services.
