Director, Public Policy

Job Description:
Time Warner is looking to identify an executive who will be responsible for advancing the Interests of Time Warner on public policy issues. Reporting to the VP - Public Policy, the candidate is expected to provide strong, creative and strategic regulatory and public policy management through the representation and advocacy of Time Warner positions. Candidates should have broad-based experience in cable ISP, filmed entertainment, and television
networks and publishing.Responsibilities:
. Collaborate with management levels enterprlse wide to develop and execute plans of action to support legislative objectives.
. Continue to advance Time Warner's standing in Washington D.C.
. Drive specific policy objectives pertinent to our businesses on a domestic basis.
. Work with a group of professionals supporting public policy on a domestic basis.
. Prepare and support senior-level GPP executives in their interaction with members of Congress and their staff and communicate and/or support the communication of the company position on federal and state policy issues.Qualifications:
. The successful candidate will be an experienced government relations professional or suitable senior executive with a solid understanding for public policy.
. 7+years of experience with federal legislative staff or experience in state
or federal government relations of a law firm, corporation or trade orga nization.
. Demonstrated track record of strong advocacy and communication skills.
. Ability to achieve results working in a large global organization with multiple business Interests and a complex and changing corporate culture.Requirements:

. High level of energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the position and to the organization.
