Director, Human Resources
SUMMARY
Serve as the Human Resource Director for Provena Health Corporate offices and Provena Medical Group. Under general direction and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and governmental regulations; is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling designated Human Resource functions including recruitment and selection, education and training, performance management, EEO/Affirmative Action, employee relations programs and all other HR related activities. Provides the education, orientation, and training to ensure that programs and policies are understood, and directs the preparation and maintenance of applicable files and records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develops clear operational processes to assist with the planning and coordination of the day-to-day HR Operations functions.
Develops policies, procedures, and programs to meet ministry needs and provides guidance and technical assistance to other operational and support areas. Ensures employee handbook and ministry Human Resources polices are up to date.
Coordinates all aspects of performance management including educating on the process and tools, developing communications and timelines, and ensures compliance with goal setting activities.
Responsible for recruitment, selection, and retention of staff. Models and coaches operational leaders on the effective use of available technology, establishes, tracks, and meets recruitment performance targets. Works pro-actively and collaboratively with hiring managers.
Coordinates compensation and benefit programs in partnership with Provena System Human Resources Compensation and Benefit leaders. Educate and assist employees with compensation and benefit issues and questions.
Directs the preparation, maintenance, and organization of Corporate Office and Medical Group employee personnel records and assures the confidentiality of their contents.
Coordinates and documents all employee relation and corrective action activities by providing assistance, direction, counseling, and coaching for staff and leaders in the resolution of personnel problems.
Remains abreast of trends in the Human Resources field by reviewing pertinent literature, networking with peers and attending educational inservices and continuing education programs as appropriate.
Prepares and directs the preparation of a variety of special reports and analyses and participates in special projects as needed.
Monitors and ensures all annual mandatory education requirements are completed by all employees.
Monitors and ensures corporate office and medical group ministries are compliant with State and Federal laws and relevant accreditation standards.
Develops and maintains current Job Descriptions for all corporate and medical group positions.
Participates in the development of and is accountable for designated portions of the departmental operating/capital budgets.

Requires knowledge of all applicable regulations and laws applying to the function of human resource services.
Requires knowledge of JCAHO and AAAHC accreditation human resource standards.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred in business, communications, management or a related field. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible Human Resource experience.
