Director,Client Reporting (Reporting & Data Analysis)-16459

This position is available in Richmond, VA and Brooklyn, NY.

The Director, Reporting & Data Analysis plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of the reporting and data analysis team to accomplish the objectives of HMC through demonstrating the value of HMC programs and services to all constituencies (internal and external). The Director is also a key customer interface for HMC and must ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Other responsibilities include:

Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to support business unit information needs and strategic initiatives.
Provides leadership in motivating subordinates to accomplish reporting and data analysis goals and objectives.
Develops a strong team through training and effective organizational development practices.
Reports project status and progress to business unit senior management.
Resolves complex or politically sensitive issues
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas.
Ensures effective policies, practices and procedures are in place to support timely and error-free reporting.
Establishes relationships with business users both internal and external.
Hires qualified staff for assigned areas or functions.
Oversees entire reporting/analysis/consulting unit or all aspects of a centralized function.
Participates with other executives to establish strategic plans and objectives.
Makes final decisions for client reporting function and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives. Accountable for budgets.
Ability to communicate with customers about technical issues in non-technical terms.
Understands the business processes that the system supports.
Directs inter-departmental corporate projects that develop or improve reporting processes and methods.
Redesigns systems to make them more effective; automates repetitive manual processes.
Leads meetings with senior managers at existing and potential clients to demonstrate the value of HMC programs.
Drives customer loyalty and shares accountability for customer satisfaction and retention.
Travels to customer sites to build strong customer relationships.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS


Typically 10+ years experience analyzing health care data and providing direction for professional exempt employees; Master’s degree in related field preferred. Knowledge of IM technologies and analytical tools, health care data, care management programs and services, and customer information needs. Prior leadership or management experience, preferably including supervision of other managers. Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, counsel and train staff. Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion. Experience in managed care or a related industry; understanding of the disease management industry and methodologies used to evaluate disease management programs; customer/client-oriented team player; verbal and written communication skills; leadership and interpersonal skills; analytical skills; ability to plan, organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to make presentations and represent the company at business meetings, conferences and seminars; to participate on boards, panels, and committees; PC proficiency.



**Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
