Deloitte Services LP has an opening for an Industry Chief of Staff - Senior Manager. This individual will provide strategic, analytical and operational support to the Industry Practices. This individual will serve as the contact point for both Firm leadership and the entire practice regarding activities and initiatives.
This individual will focus on SCS Program clients by supporting the National Industry Leaders (NIL's ) and Service Line Industry Leaders (SIL's) on serving the Selected Named Clients (SNC) in the US. Additionally, he/she will build a national Industry/Sector Practice to support Regional Industry Leaders (RIL's)
in providing primary Industry leadership on non-SNC SCS Program clients.
1. IS A MARKET MAKER
a. Develops advanced knowledge of assigned Industry, including industry trends, competitor information, industry services and solutions and their impact on industry clients
b. Oversees lead management process for the Industry
2. OPTIMIZES THE CLIENT PORTFOLIO
a. Works with Industry leadership to define and manage the Industry and SCS client portfolio and client account planning process
3. DELIVERS CONTENT TO TEAMS
a. Identifies, develops, and distributes relevant content to teams
b. Builds Industry networks to increase communication and knowledge sharing between the sectors and regions to share valuable experience and insight
4. SUPPORTS MDP BEHAVIOR
a. Understands overall firm services and helps NIL's and SIL's connect cross-functional and cross-Industry / sector services to client needs
5. BUILDS INDUSTRY PROGRAM CAPABILITIES
a.
Works with Industry and Functional leadership to ensure an adequate practitioner pipeline to serve the Industry
b. Works with Industry leadership to manage client, revenue, and operational planning processes
c. Coordinates the development of Industry training content and appropriate learning programs
6. PARTICIPATES IN SELECTED PRACTICE MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES
a. Distributes standard set of reports to Industry leadership to track Industry performance over the fiscal year, including revenue performance against plan
b. Assists in the preparation and follow up for Industry Practice and Firm Leadership meetings
c. Responds to requests/questions from Firm Leadership and the Practice
d. Works with NIL to identify, manage and resolve issues
e. Participates in selected Industry initiatives that help build the infrastructure and enhance the overall Industry Practice
f. Oversees the operations budget for the Practice - 8+ years of
relevant experience required
- Must be analytical, detail oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple tasks and timelines.
- Must be self-motivated and able to complete projects independently with appropriate direction
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work with a team are necessary.
- Should be prepared to get into the detailed work as well as more high level executive support ("can-do" attitude).
- Technical and comprehensive knowledge of firm accounting and management systems (i.e. SAP, CRM, DPS)
