Chief of Training & Safety (Fire)

The City of Olathe Kansas (population 120,000) is accepting applications for an experienced professional to fill the Chief of Training and Safety for our Fire Department. The Division Chief will manage the Fire Department’s comprehensive training, education and safety programs including career development, administrative volunteers, and civilian members. Candidates should be credentialed as an Executive Fire Officer from the National Fire Academy or the ability to obtain.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor Degree in Fire Service Management, Education, or Public Administration and ten years of related experience, supplemented by extensive training and career development required. A Master of Arts/Science Degree with six years training program management experience preferred. Must be able to pass a background investigation, pre-employment physical and drug screen; must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Full time benefited position.
