Chief of Police. 55 member department, $4.6 million dollar budget. Reports to City Manager. Located on the Ohio River in tri-state area (Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia), Ashland is the largest city on northeastern Kentucky. Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required. Require 10+ years of experience, collaborative leader with extensive energy, demonstrated track record of effective staff management, evidence of continued personal and professional development, dynamic interpersonal skills.

Must be or become certified within one year of appointment as a Kentucky State Police Officer as required by KRS 15.382, Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) and Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC).
