The Applied Technologies Group C4I Division of M.C. Dean, Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a Chief Systems Integration Engineer. The mission of the Applied Technologies Group (ATG) C4I Division, as part of M.C. Dean Inc., is to provide capability assurance for special operational environments through Strategic Consulting, Operations Automation, and Capability Implementation services. Our unique service offering positions the C4I Division as the definitive source for the understanding, development, and delivery of next generation C4I—Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence. The Chief Systems Integration Engineer (CSIE) plays a fundamental management and technical leadership role translating mission engineered concepts and requirements into comprehensive, turn-keyed solutions.

The CSIE’s role spans the entire project lifecycle, including:
Scope Definition, Bidding & Proposing
Project Budgeting & Financial Management
Requirements Development & Configuration Management
Drawing Package Development: Both Construction Drawings & System Integration Drawings
Project Lifecycle Planning: Work-Breakdown and Critical Path Method Activity Scheduling
Resource Planning, Coordination, Organization and Optimization
Project Implementation
Test Engineering & Quality Assurance
Operations Support and Refinement
The CSIE will typically work with stakeholders’ representatives from Contractual Financial & Administrative Management, Intelligence Operations, Mission Operations, Building & Facility Services, Systems & Technology Services, and Special Security Services to develop stakeholder-optimized projects.
The CSIE is a senior operational management and technical leadership position. The CSIE works hand in glove with the Strategic Consulting group to lead mission engineered vision, concept, and intent into fully instantiated and operational centers.
The CSIE will lead Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) comprised of expert engineers and technicians across multiple disciplines ranging from facility & furnishings to visual systems & automation. The CSIE will typically manage multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities across a structured project lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED
Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet requirements to access classified information
College degree in one of multiple techical or engineering management disciplines
Advanced techincal degree desirable
IPT and team leadership & management experience
10+ years experience managing multiple, complex projects
Direct experience in construction or systems integration
Design experience in at least one technical discipline; multiple disciplines desired
Professional etiquette and ability to interact with technicians, professionals and executives in both industry and government.
Superior oral, presentation and written communication skills
Superior organizational and prioritization skills
Superior negotiation skills
Punctuality, consistency, and the discipline to meet often demanding deliverable deadlines
Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, quality, and professionalism.

JOB WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
The Chief Systems Integration Engineer position requires flexible work hours. Overtime hours will be required at some points in order to ensure a project is completed on time. The home base for this position is the C4I Washington, DC office; the CSIE is expected to divide his/her time between the Washington, DC office (40%), the MC Dean corporate and ATG main offices (30%), and customer sites (30%). Some travel may be required.
