CHIEF SYSTEM OPERATOR (4699)

Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and review the work of staff responsible for providing generation control, electric transmission and distribution operations, including systems dispatching and troubleshooting. Participate in the selection of systems operations staff; provide or coordinate staff training; and conduct performance appraisals. Prepare various reports on operations and activities. Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; establish schedules and methods for providing electric systems operations; implement policies and procedures. Participate in preparation and administration of the Control Center program budget; and monitor expenditures. Coordinate, participate and direct the emergency response plan; assist to develop and implement priorities and procedures; participate in contingency planning for anticipated electric systems emergencies. Participate in the development and implementation of electric systems operating procedures and training programs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 4 years experience in generation and T&D environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess strong knowledge of electric system operations, transmission interconnects, and generating plant protocol. Must also have the ability to manage System Operators and prioritize trouble related activities. NERC Certification preferred.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
