We have 5 stores located in New York City, Brooklyn, Westbury, Long Island, Morristown, New Jersey and our newest in Paramus, New Jersey. The company is an established leader in the Retail Industry and was recently voted as New York's "Most Popular Department Store" for 2006 by Zagat.
From stores and buying to merchandising and information technology, we offer unique opportunities for innovative people. We are currently recruiting a Group Manager for Shoes to join our Team in our Brooklyn location.
As a Group Manager, you will be the guiding force behind the success of a multi-million dollar department by leading and motivating our management and selling team, developing and managing the service environment and presenting a clean, neat and organized shopping environment for our loyal Century 21 customer.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the recruitment needs of your business
Train, motivate and develop managers and selling associates to reach their fullest potential and to maximize business opportunities
Create a positive work environment that results in retention and turnover reduction
Monitor and address performance related issues with management team
Be the "role model" for great service to our customers
Ensure all procedures, policies and shortage awareness are thoroughly understood
Maintain floor and back of house presentation standards
In conjunction with Merchandise Coordinators and Buyers, plan and execute floor moves, merchandise placement and sales promotion set-ups
Identify best sellers and key items and merchandise needs to General Manager

Prior Management experience is necessary to be considered
