Bi-lingual Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager

THIS FORTUNE 100 BAKED GOODS MANUFACTURER LOCATED ON THE WEST COAST IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A MAINTENANCE MANAGER.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of all plant preventative maintenance programs, including coordination, scheduling and verification of completion in the following areas:
Bakery production equipment, Plant support equipment such as boilers compressors, fuel, water, oil, and electrical systems
Provide leadership and support for continuing process improvement efforts for both Production and Engineering. In addition, the initiation of Capital Projects which benefit the line efficiency and/or productivity; along with project justification analysis, program preparation, project implementation, cost tracking, scheduling control and completion/closing of all projects on time and at budget."Active participation in all plant sanitation, safety, and environmental issues for timely execution of work orders to enable the plant to achieve the highest levels of compliance to the EPA, OSHA, and AIB/FDA standards.
Management of the spare parts inventory including the identification of the correct parts and quantities held in inventory, cycle counting and usage histories. Ensure compliance with company, labor, state, and federal regulations: i.e. EEO, AAP
Actively support and participate in department and plant QCP, GMP processes. Coach supervisors to maximize efficiency and effectiveness in daily performance of their tasks.
NO RELOCATION AVAILABLE. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY.Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project or Maintenance Engineer responsible for capital projects and assignments. In addition a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience. BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Verbal and numerical skills sufficient to effectively monitor, communicate and coordinate activities in a large bakery. Good PC skills. Refrigeration Certification and/or professional engineering license optional.
