Assistant Vice President, Risk - Renewables (EFS)

Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, Energy Financial ServicesFunction: Risk ManagementResponsibilities: Assist in the analysis, underwriting, structuring and closing of GE Energy Financial Services' energy-related investments in Renewable energy market. Duties include:
Preparation of company/ industry research and analysis;
Financial statement analysis and preparation of financial projections;
Performance of valuation analysis for projects and companies;
Review, assimilation and critical summation of transaction-related documents (ie, SEC filings, project contracts, information memoranda, independent engineer's reports, etc);
Regular interface with customers and third party consultants to ground all underwriting assumptions;
Preparation of internal credit approval documents, proposals, closing certificates, deal hand-off sheets and all relevant deal-related internal documentation for management review;
Presentation and defense of analysis in front of senior management.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Strong financial statement analysis skills.
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
Proven problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills.
5+ years work experience and 2+ years relevant deal experience.
MBA or undergraduate business, economics or related degree with significant work and deal experience.Desired: * Strong accounting and tax skills.
Understanding of various financing products and structures, including loans, leases, partnerships and equity investments.
Credit training.
Energy & Renewables industry experience.
