Assistant Chief Engineer

The person in this Assistant Chief Engineer position will be involved in helping to manage all aspects of the Engineering department by assisting the Chief Engineer to monitor the performance of their staff in order to ensure complete guest satisfaction. Will perform weekly property tours to identify problem areas and initiate disciplinary actions; conduct meetings daily with engineering personnel; order and maintain inventories; provide support in the successful completion of major projects; provide a safe work environment; and help to recruit, train, and discipline engineering staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate should have at least 2-3 years previous experience in managing maintenance crews, either in construction, manufacturing or military. Individuals with hospitality background are preferred but not required. Must be able to operate a computer using different types of software, i.e. Microsoft, MP2, QuickBooks etc. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and contracts is required. Must have a high School diploma or GED; ROPE certificate; and certification in at least one or more maintenance related disciplines.
