Assistant COO

Assistant COO works closely with the President & COO in the day-to-day affairs of running the company and on special projects as necessary. As a member of the senior management team the Assistant COO plays a critical role in the development and implementation of business strategies for all business units throughout ValleyCrest Companies which encompasses over $750 million in annual revenues and employs over 9000 individuals nationwide.

Responsibilities:
•Work closely with branches, corporate and executive team to set business vision and strategy
•Analyze new business opportunities with executive team members and consultants
•Participate, drive and lead special projects including marketing, purchasing, finance, acquisitions and divestitures
•Drive change process that has been researched and identified by key project initiatives
•Organize executive team members to ensure that business units are partnering effectively and utilizing shared resources
•Question existing processes, make recommendations for further improvements and drive implementation of those improvements
•Analyze communications to ensure that consistent messages are generated and that all business units are working effectively and cohesively
•Analyze business systems, processes and controls to ensure that all operations are efficient and profitable
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
•Candidate should have an MBA, Masters Degree or equivalent experience.
•Must have a minimum of 7 years of related work experience
•Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in an operational consulting firm providing large scale, multi- business unit strategy consulting services, including the execution phase of consulting. Experience with top 20 management & strategy consulting firm is preferred
•Leadership experience – ability to work within a collaborative and team environment
•Demonstrated success optimizing companywide and business unit initiatives
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•Experience gaining executive and operational unit buy in for new opportunities
