We are the vital link bringing together these groups with underwriting companies. For our customers, we are an advocate, providing competitive products and easily accessible, world-class customer service. For the underwriting company, we provide the marketing and administrative expertise necessary to maximize their policy sales.Position: Assistant Vice President - Insurance OperationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, the person will be responsible for a number of disciplines including:
1) Establishing and implementing efficient workflow and systems support to effectively manage specific
business initiatives. Will utilize the Applied System.
2) Hiring and managing individual client service personnel.
3) Coordinating with Affinity Healthcare shared services (IT, Finance, Marketing, etc.) to execute on agreed upon business protocols.
4) Coordination of employee training programs.Specific responsibilities for this position will involve the following:
1) Assisting with the management of the new American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association
2) Breakout of the Allied Firms large account business from the HPSO / CNA Program model to support their brokerage service needs and new business development within this growing segment.
3) Development and launch of the new Ambulatory Healthcare Facilities Program utilizing a brokerage model with the intent of moving to an exclusive program model.
4) Participate in operational due diligence for prospective acquisitions.
5) Development of policies and procedures for brokerage business model.
6) Assist in establishing best practices and performance standards for the brokerage business model.
7) Serve as the brokerage division’s liaison with Healthcare’s shared services.
8) Actively seek opportunities and make recommendations that better serve the client.
9) Other New Business Development initiatives within Affinity HealthcareSPECIAL SKILLS:
Mimimum 5 years experience managing or supervising people.
Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to facilitate groups to consensus.
Demonstrates sound logic when solving problems and the ability to effectively communicate and suggest new ideas and business practices to management.
Some degree of travel may be requiredMINIMUM EDUCATION:
College degree required; a graduate degree is desirable or significant PL brokerage related experienceMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years of brokerage insurance and/or underwriting experience.
Professional Liability preferred.
Experience writing Excess and Surplus lines business preferred.
