Trainees will participate in training program that can last up to a year which includes formal and hands on training. Self starter / motivator are highly desirable traits for this position as problem solving using multiple resources is key to the training program. All trainees are required to be mobile, as they may be required to relocate to another Chubb office at the end of the training program.

Job Description

Our entry level Trainee is introduced to the Chubb organization as a whole as well as to Chubb Specialty Insurance. This involves becoming familiar with Chubb's organizational structure, mission, policies, procedures and insurance products. As a CSI trainee, one would be responsible for applying oneself to learning our professional liability lines such as Directors & Officers, Errors and Omission and Fidelity coverage as well as Property & Casualty lines such as Package, Auto, Workers Compensation and Umbrella coverage. Training will entail learning the exposures of organizations and how to apply those exposures to insurance coverage. This position is based in Philadelphia and includes both the analytical items described above as well as marketing/sale of insurance coverage for these industries to appointed Chubb agents. Specific responsibilities include producer relationship management, financial analysis, applying analytical skills to risk assessment process, and coordination with branch management and fellow underwriters to accomplish business objectives. We also require an adaptable personality with a willingness to execute new and /or modified strategies in an evolving and developing unit here at Chubb specialty Insurance.
