Swine Production Intern

Premium Standard Farms has developed an internship program in swine production for students wishing to gain valuable insight in to the swine industry.
While doing an internship at Premium Standard Farms, the student is provided housing. Interns must pay a one-time $50 non-refundable fee for housing.
Interns are exposed to all areas of swine production, and will spend several weeks in sow production gaining hands on experience in breeding, farrowing and nursery. The remaining weeks of the internship are spent on a grow finish farm gaining hands on experience with all aspects finish operations.
Interns are also exposed to all areas of a vertically integrated company, which includes the opportunity to participate in an overview of the company, tour the processing facility, and tour a feed mill. Interns are encouraged to participate in a variety of planned activities, such as a summer softball league and BBQ's.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be a current college student pursuing a two or four year degree in an agriculture-related field, preferrably in animal science.
