Support Engineer

Inside sales position as preparation for the position of Field Sales Engineer. This position requires a motivated self-starter who can work well both as a team member and as an individual contributor. This member of the Sales Team will be able to make a direct and immediate impact to the organization. Attention to detail is critical, as is basic analytical skills, accuracy, thoroughness and the ability to communicate effectively whether written or oral. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and effectively manage time is important. This key role requires someone who has the ability to change the approach or method to best fit the situation; is able to demonstrate persistence; and overcome obstacles. Individual should respond promptly to customer needs and solicit customer feedback in order to continuously improve service level and meet commitments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Emphasizes salable features to prospects as well as current customers who may be interested in additional products and services.
• Assists in the preparation of product quotations.
• Aligns with other departments to thoroughly understand product scheduling and estimates for product delivery dates to potential and existing customers.
• Acquires knowledge of product technology and software, in order to provide product specifications, training and demonstrations.
• Builds and maintains strong customer relationships with a commitment to customer retention and satisfaction.
• Enters customer and sales data into CSR for proper tracking.
• Investigates and helps resolves customer complaints and issues arising during all phases of the sales cycle, including continuous account management.
• Works closely with Field Sales Engineers to manage account activities as well as to ensure sales literature and sales support materials are up-to-date and accessible.
• Develops strong understanding product technologies and applications.
• Proactively reviews incoming orders to ensure the customer’s expectations are being met.
• Monitors customer’s experience and perception of the product.
• Performs other related functions and projects as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Physical Sciences or Engineering Two calculus's classes and one physics class.

EXPERIENCE: 0- 2 years, but on the-job training will be provided.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Basic computer skills and high technical aptitude are necessary. Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills required. Professional image along with strong interpersonal, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills are essential. Capable of working with a broad base of people at all levels within an organization. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are fundamental as is an ability to manage multiple projects. Intermediate PC skills are required. Ability to lift up to 120 pounds.
